YouTube Feather for Faster Video Streaming
YouTube Feather Beta is a Lab feature where users can watch video's without any hassle and enhanced faster streaming.
Users with low bandwidth who likes to watch YouTube video's should wait for ages as the video resolution may vary from Ultra low quality -144p - 1080p. And Streaming at these quality may require at-least a decent Internet connection or bandwidth and especially for watching video's, this is bit difficult task.
But YouTube has a Beta feature or otherwise a lab feature called Feather where it streams YouTube video in a smooth manner. Otherwise limiting some feature in video page such as comments, rating videos, viewing all comments or customizing the embedded player.
As mentioned in Feather Beta Page:
These advanced web techniques gradually reduce the bandwidth necessary to stream a video and Verified through Chrome's Dev tools where its showed that the improvements are noticeable and the resources downloaded or used when you watch a video only have 52 KB, instead of 391 KB. - This is quite amazing.
Just head over to Feather Beta Page and Join the Feather Beta to watch the videos in Feather Mode or low latency.. Just Search for any video's and watch. There will be a notification available to right side of video, Stating the video is being watched in lightweight version and the settings can be changed for a particular video or permanently for all video being watched in time being. (As shown below)
The beauty about this is that video can be watched in any resolution even in 1080p or 720p, But still it will load faster when compared to normal streaming in 720p. And there stands the real feature of this Feather Beta.

This is an opt-in beta for "Feather" support on YouTube. The "Feather" project is intended to serve YouTube video watch pages with the lowest latency possible.
